The Myth of Retirement at 65

Why is it that everyone talks about being financially independent when they retire, yet very few individuals actually have a plan for achieving that? And why is that time in everyone's life always centered around the age of 65.

Why Everyone Should Take a Year Off Work

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to take a year off of work? You would have the freedom to do whatever you wanted. No more going into work and participating in the rat-race like everyone else. Just imagine what it would be like to take some much needed time off and relax and take it easy.

What would you do with a full 12 months off? Where would you go? Who would you meet? Would you travel, learn to paint, learn a new language or fall in love?

Well, I did just that. Certain things in my professional life had allowed me to save up a certain amount of money and I was looking for a break. Let me share my experience with you and show you what I learned.

Is taking a year off, although nice, really the best thing to do when it concerns your financial independence? Take a look inside, you might be surprised at the results.

The likely reason you came to this site is you realized or someone close to you realized that you are simply not “getting ahead.' At some point most people in the United States come to realize that they are sick and tired of working everyday and seemingly have nothing to show for it. Most of these people are consumers in the purest since of the word. Consumer by the way is what credit reporting agencies call the people they have credit reports on. Which as you will find out, is exactly what they are, consumers consume their wealth.
